Update on this. The person who texted me from this number said her name was Tamara, and claimed she couldn't speak to me over the phone because she is hearing impaired and is having a a surgical procedure to correct it in Wyoming. She wanted to give her nephew a birthday present by paying for his recording time in my studio, claiming he and two friends are gospel musicians who want to do a ten hour session. I asked for an e-mail address so I wouldn't have to text so much, and she provided me with "tamaralopez475@yahoo.com". She said she couldn't use PayPal, or Square due to some circumstance that made her card inactive to these sources, so she would to pay me up-front using a Stripe Mobile Credit Card reader if I would set up an account to receive such payment. Once I told her I would not set up such an account the correspondence stopped. This smells like a huge scam to me.

I also just received a text message from this number, and the person was asking to record in my studio. The sender also wanted to know if I accepted credit cards. I responded via text, but have not received an answer. Strange, indeed.

I received text messages from this number. I have a strong feeling that it was a scam. So beware... They were asking me to record in my studio, and then asked if I accepted credit cards. And of course, suggested that I set up a credit card process. They were attempting to submit a credit card for pre-payment, but it sounded very strange.
