Yes, me too! What an annoyance. I will report to FTC.gov later when I have time. This shouldn't be happening to anyone and more importantly no one should fall for the lie and call the horrible scammers back.

Same here. Got the call today. I guess since it's just after tax time, they figure a good percentage of people may owe and are worried about it enough to believe this call is for real. Directly from the IRS website:\r\nThe IRS Will Never:\r\nCall to demand immediate payment over the phone, nor will the agency call about taxes owed without first having mailed you a bill.\r\nThreaten to immediately bring in local police or other law-enforcement groups to have you arrested for not paying.\r\nDemand that you pay taxes without giving you the opportunity to question or appeal the amount they say you owe.\r\nRequire you to use a specific payment method for your taxes, such as a prepaid debit card.\r\nAsk for credit or debit card numbers over the phone.\r\nIf you get a phone call from someone claiming to be from the IRS and asking for money and you don’t owe taxes, here’s what you should do:\r\nDo not give out any information. Hang up immediately.\r\nContact TIGTA to report the call. Use their “IRS Impersonation Scam Reporting†web page or call 800-366-4484.\r\nReport it to the Federal Trade Commission. Use the “FTC Complaint Assistant†on FTC.gov. Please add “IRS Telephone Scam†in the notes.\r\nIf you think you might owe taxes, call the IRS directly at 1-800-829-1040.

just received a call from this number. It was an automated computer message....Call is officially a final notice from IRS...Internal Revenue service. the reason of this call is to inform you that the IRS is filing a lawsuit against you to get more information about this case file.. Please call immediately on our department number... .814-386-3086.\r\n\r\ndeleted...and not calling back. This is apparently a common scam.
