Mine was a little more cordial than the others. He started out with Hi. How are you doing today and how is your weekend going> My name is David Willson. I would like to confirm if you do DJ Service. ( I replied)\r\nNext was...Thanks for your prompt response. I have an event coming up on the 27th of Oct. Will you be available on that date?\r\nI said... On a Tuesday? What time of day are you talking about?\r\nHe said...It's a birthday party and I would like to know your actual cost for 5hrs service and do you accept card as a form of payment? I told him no and I needed to know where the party was and the actual start time.\r\nNO REPLY...\r\nMy question is how would he scam me? I'm not giving out my credit card info and how would he get anything from my by giving his credit card number to me? \r\nI'm done messing with him anyway!

Yep just got the same scam text. Still using this number and the name David Wilson. I screwed with him for a while and then told him to get a real job.

Same Story as Above. I received a similar texting scam a few months ago from number 631-629-5463. The texter claimed her name was Sarah James, was having a birthday party and wanted to know if Credit Cards were accepted. It looks as if this scam is either the same perpetrator or a copycat. My advise is not to even text back. When researching the number above from the earlier scam, I found some responders believed the scammer took the list from Online wedding vendor sites such as WeddingWire and the Knot.

I received a text message from this number at 8:17 pm on July 23, 2015 . They first asked me, "Do you credit card payment" Then and asked me to DJ their daughter's party. He put his name as David Wilson. He wanted a price quote and I asked him for time, date and location of the party. He came back with September 2nd and put the location of my home town. As I am typing this he is asking if I am available for September 3rd.n. I'm east coast and he is west coast.

I received a weird text message from this number. They first asked me, "Do you credit card payment" Then they pretended like they knew me and asked me to DJ their daughter's party. They asked me if I was available yet didn't specify a date?? I've received spam messages like this before, where they ask about credit card payments first. I've found the others to be fraudulent. Please be careful if you receive text messages asking if you accept credit cards. \r\n
