Received a call last November just before Christmas for a donation from this organization asking for a donation for the families of police officers killed in the line of duty. I thought this was a great cause and wanted to donate something to them. The person was very persistent to get me to commit to 50, 100, or more dollars. I told them I would like to give, but don't want to commit to a dollar figure right now. He then said just commit to a low 15.00 donation and give as much as I want later. While I was talking on the phone I searched the internet and found that they were a recognized organization "Troopers association of Florida". I made a donation. I just received this call again tonight and the person was very pushy trying to get 100.00 or more donation this time. three time I told him send me the information and I would send something later when I can. I did not want to commit to a dollar figure and told him to send me the information. I don't believe they will send me anything in the mail but he said all right. I am researching the organization now and am finding these calls have grown in Florida, and have become a nu-sense caller. I have decided that this call is not legitimate and am not going to send them money. I am going to research further and strongly caution others to do the same because something is not right with this group.
