“ Caller claimed to be from Auto Renewal Protection Services. She claimed to be contracted with Mitsubishi to offer me an extended warranty on my car. She also claimed that she received my number from the Mitsubishi dealer who sold me the car. Here is the kicker...I did not purchase a car from Mitsubishi. My husband purchased one. I am not on the loan. I am not on the title. I am not on the registration. I do not own this car. When I informed the caller that I was on to their scam, she hung up on me. ”

“ Craigslist scammer, kept texting me even after I showed no interest, gave him a po box address, received a bogus cashier's check for $2,450. They used the name Dan J. Blair on the check, envelope return address was Centerline Solutions of Golden CO, check has Simmons Bank as source. All names and companies exist, just not at the same place! Even called my phone after the 'check' was delivered, but would hang up if I answered it.\r\n\r\nCalled Simmons Bank, no such account. Follows the script, offers more than asking price, then threw in extra for 'movers', etc. Always three separate texts, bad spelling, bad grammar, bad punctuation and capitalization. ”
