“ This idiot says his name is David Gray and he's calling becuase we wil are in trouble with the US Treasury…… ”

“ On today I received the same call, same stupid message as mentioned by others previously posted here. This has been reported and hopefully this dork will come to justice. ”

“ I have received the same phone call. The guy had a very strong Indian accent. When I called back and I questioned whether he was from the US treasury department he hung up on me. ”

“ I just received the same recorded phone call; voice said he was "David Gray", and his tone was serious, bordering on threatening; the recording said that it was in regard to a serious legal matter, and that to ignore the call and fail to follow up would likely result in federal charges against me. At this point, I hung up, and chatted with the operator, who identified the area code as Washington, D.C. I then entered the number into Google, and landed here, happy to have my suspicions confirmed that this was, indeed, a completely bogus call. It was the same number: 202-754-8360. ”

“ We received two voice-mail messages today from a David Gray who asked us to call him back at this number. Sounded like a scam, so I google'd the phone number. (If anyone is taking legal action, they notify you in writing.) What steps have to be taken to shut this scammer down? ”

“ we also got the same message but did not call back. I have saved the message from David Gray regarding and "IRS" action. ”

“ Received basically the same veiled threatening call on my voice mail. He identified himself as "David Gray" and that if I did not call this number, I would be held in contempt. If he knew whom he was calling, and was legit, he would have mentioned my name. ”

“ Same message. Claims to be from the United States Treasury Department. After laughing at the graven toned warning message left on my answering machine, I'm wondering if the real Treasury Department might be interested in giving this guy a call back. I've saved the recording just in case. :) ”

“ I received a recorded phone call today from 202-754-8360 stating that it was a call from the IRS and it was about a legal action against me. I called back to see about this "legal action" and the person that answered had an Hindu/Indian accent. He called me by a different name and neither could pronounce my first name (Jose) - but he was representing the IRS. He said that it was a warrant for my arrest and if I already received a letter in the mail stating that. He only had my name and address but not my social security number or date of birth - but he assured me that the warrant was for me.\r\nI told him that I will wait for the documents in the mail and he said that it will come with a police with the warrant.\r\nNeedless to say - I know that I don't owe anything so his scary tactics didn't work on me.\r\nI would like to know if anybody out there knows about any legal action against this company or people doing this crap. Besides for being annoying, I considered this to be harassment, a scam, and maybe fall into other criminal activities too, such as false representation of a government agency (the IRS). ”
